Agents were copying the same vehicle details, route, and dates from one application to another. Preparing a quote, sending a contract, and posting a load meant entering information they already had. As Ray’s brokerages grew, that repetition took more time away from customers and arranging shipments.
Ziyobek “Ray” Turdiev, founder of TheCarGo, entered the U.S. auto transport industry in 2019. Over the course of his brokerage career, he worked as an agent, hired employees, managed customer accounts, and handled the day-to-day demands of the business. He went on to own two brokerages and manage a team of 15 agents.
Ray tried different CRMs, but none fully solved the problem. He concluded that continued growth required a change in how the team worked. Hiring more people would still leave them doing the same repetitive tasks.
“I didn’t build TheCarGo to sell software. I built it because I was tired of the chaos,” Ray wrote.
In 2024, Ray and his team began building TheCarGo. Their own agents became its first users, working in a system built around the tasks they handled every day.
How Daily Work Shaped the Product
As agents used TheCarGo for real orders, it became clearer where they still had to take unnecessary steps. They needed the same vehicle details, route, and dates to prepare a quote, send a contract, and post a load. Connecting those stages meant they could keep working with information they had already entered. Conversations, documents, and payments were brought into the order so they were easy to find later.
Keeping order information together addressed part of the problem. Agents still had to leave the CRM to manage load postings or remember to contact customers who hadn’t booked. Development followed those needs: Central Dispatch and Super Dispatch integrations let agents publish loads and see updates in TheCarGo, while automated message sequences handled follow-up at intervals they could choose.
From the Internal Team to Other Brokerages
As other auto transport brokerages began using TheCarGo, they brought new needs. Their agents handled the same daily tasks, but organized their work differently.
One brokerage had agents working from different locations, often with different devices at hand. At home, they could use a computer; away from their desk, they might only have a phone. To support those situations, TheCarGo expanded across web, iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS, so agents could keep working wherever they were.
Other companies wanted a closer look at how their teams worked throughout the day. Insights became more detailed in response, including metrics such as agent activity by hour. Managers could look beyond overall totals and see when activity was concentrated and when it dropped off.
Today, TheCarGo helps auto transport brokers manage orders, customer communication, and carrier coordination in one place, with less manual work between steps.
